Assistant Professor of Accounting
Dr. Goodchild joined the Quinnipiac University School of Business as an Assistant Professor of Accounting in the fall of 2019. He earned his Ph.D. in Accounting in 2015 and Master’s in Accounting and Taxation in 2003 from the University of Connecticut. He teaches Intro to Financial and Managerial Accounting in the Undergraduate Program and Accounting for Managers in the MBA program.
His professional experience includes auditing at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and financial reporting at United Technologies Corporation. He maintains an active CPA license in Massachusetts.
Dr. Goodchild’s research interests include managerial and investor decision-making; media format of accounting disclosure; ethics; and improving diversity in the accounting industry. He cowrote an ethics case that won the IMA’s 2018 Carl Menconi Best Ethics Case Writing Competition.
