Associate Teaching Professor of Business Law
Professor Gedge has taught business law in the School of Business since 2006. Her students appreciate her enthusiastic passion for the subject as well as her ability to actively engage students in an interactive learning environment. With more than 20 years of hands-on experience as a practicing business attorney, Gedge helps students understand both the concepts and the application of legal principles in the business setting.
Professor Gedge is actively involved in helping women achieve their professional goals and received the Women’s Business Excellence Award from the School of Business, Central Connecticut State University in 2010. As Associate Director of the Center for Women & Business at Quinnipiac University (2015-2018), she promoted the Center’s mission through effective outreach and successful programming. The Center was the recipient of a multi-million-dollar endowment from People's United Bank in 2018.
Professor Gedge engages in scholarly research on both substantive legal topics (including the Kelo Supreme Court case on eminent domain) and pedagogical topics and has a growing list of articles published in scholarly journals. One of her published articles describes the benefits of using an interactive student project on the first day of class – ‘Launching Your Business Law Course with an ‘Awesome First Day!’ 25 Southern Law Journal 341 (2015).
