Rebecca Bamford joined the Department of Philosophy & Political Science in 2012, as Quinnipiac inaugurated a new Philosophy major.

Her research develops new solutions to problems in late modern European philosophy, the history of ethics, contemporary bioethics, the history and philosophy of mind, science, and technology, and African and comparative philosophy.

She received Quinnipiac's Outstanding Faculty Scholar Award in 2016.

She teaches a range of intermediate and upper division courses in Philosophy, and also serves as a mentor in Medical Humanities for the Netter Medical School.
